Structured Coaching Ethics Program
Start ApplicationWhat You'll Study
Our program is organized into three focused modules. Each one builds on specific frameworks used in professional coaching practice and the ethical considerations that come with them. You'll work through real scenarios coaches face when navigating boundaries, confidentiality, and professional responsibility.
Foundations and Frameworks
We start with the core ethical frameworks that guide coaching practice. You'll examine ICF standards, explore how different professional bodies approach ethics, and learn to apply these principles to everyday coaching situations.
- International coaching standards and codes
- Ethical decision-making models
- Professional boundaries in practice
- Confidentiality protocols and exceptions
- Cultural considerations in ethics
Complex Situations
This module focuses on challenging scenarios where ethical lines aren't clear. You'll analyze cases involving dual relationships, conflicts of interest, and situations where client welfare might conflict with organizational expectations.
- Managing dual relationships properly
- Organizational vs. individual client needs
- Recognizing scope of practice limits
- Handling sensitive disclosures
- Navigating power dynamics
Professional Practice
The final module addresses the business and professional aspects of ethical coaching. You'll develop frameworks for contracting, supervision, ongoing development, and maintaining standards throughout your career.
- Ethical contracting and agreements
- Supervision and peer consultation
- Continuing professional development
- Record keeping and data protection
- Managing complaints and feedback
Viktor Lindholm
Lead Instructor
Viktor spent fifteen years working as an organizational coach before shifting focus to ethics education. He's handled ethics complaints for two professional coaching bodies and has seen firsthand how small missteps can escalate into serious problems. His approach is practical rather than theoretical—he teaches through real cases and actual dilemmas coaches encounter.
He's certified through ICF at the PCC level and holds additional credentials in ethics from the Center for Credentialing and Education. Viktor regularly consults on complex ethical situations for coaching organizations across Europe and has developed ethics training programs for several national coaching associations.
What Past Participants Say
These are unedited reflections from coaches who completed the program. They describe what changed in their practice and what they found most valuable about the structured approach to ethics.

I thought I understood boundaries until we worked through the dual relationship scenarios. The program helped me see how easily lines blur in organizational coaching. I've completely changed how I contract with clients and how I handle situations where someone wants coaching for both personal and professional issues. Viktor's approach is direct—he doesn't let you hide behind vague principles when you need to make actual decisions.
Sanna Virtanen
Executive Coach, Helsinki
The section on confidentiality was eye-opening. I'd been handling certain situations based on assumptions rather than clear frameworks. Now I have specific protocols for when confidentiality might need to be broken and how to communicate that upfront. The real case studies made it concrete—these weren't theoretical problems but actual situations coaches navigated. I use the decision-making model from this program almost weekly.
